Patagonian Dream - Part I

House built by Martin. The view from the top of the roof (though not very high from the ground) was spectacular. Mountains in every direction, field of lupines, horses galloping freely, dogs going mad chasing the horses, kids from the neighborhood playing soccer...Not a bad place to sit and daydream if you are not as clumsy as I am. I was doing just that, daydreaming, and fell off the roof. Good thing I have meat on my bones. Didn't break a thing!

Mate time with the gentlemen.
Folks at Minga Alegre were incredibly generous and kind. I was just a stranger passing through, but they opened their doors and welcomed me into their home and community. They offered me homemade bread and endless cups of mate. Coyhaique, Chile

Kruf!

Last December, I migrated south to Chile and Argentina to escape the excruciatingly long and brutal winter in Alaska's arctic. The photos above are all from Coyhaique, where I was WWOOF-ing. More to come!
